WMPMI Program Update
It is hard to believe that we are about to have our final meeting of the year. The speakers and topics we chose this past year seem to have been on target with our membership. Overall attendance has been up slightly (4%), especially for the bonus program.

The first year of the WMPMI Mentorship Program will soon conclude as participants close their personal development projects and file for PDU awards. The time is coming to celebrate project successes and provide participants with the opportunity to have some fun after all their hard work! PMP Certification Prep Class
The PMP® credential recognizes demonstrated knowledge and skill in leading and directing project teams and in delivering project results within the constraints of schedule, budget and resources. The Western Michigan Chapter of Project Management Institute is offering a 5-week certification preparation class that will teach participants what they need to know to pass the PMP exam.

Membership Update
The WMPMI Chapter is 650 members strong, even in a difficult Michigan economy. The Membership Team is focusing on listening to the voices of our members and prospective members to satisfy their needs, and to create and articulate the strongest value proposition for those who join WMPMI. Our work integrates with all components of the chapter and the Board of Directors to foster member interests and development. In the 2009-10 year, the team focused on an initial survey of the membership to launch the Mentorship Program, a long-term strategic initiative of WMPMI.
